Founded, produced, and directed by one of the UK’s most visionary, boundary-breaking, and multi-disciplined creature movement artists, Joss Carter has independently designed, developed, and established EXORCISM to become : a transformational training institution, creative laboratory, and professional production company dedicated exclusively to the evolution of creature performance and physical storytelling.

EXORCISM delivers unparalleled training, artistic development, and creative innovation through an elite team of industry specialists spanning every corner of the creature arts. Our methodology fuses physical, psychological, technical, and conceptual disciplines—training performers to embody creatures for film, television, theatre, motion capture, immersive experiences, and live events with the highest professional standards.

Our approach is immersive, rigorous, and holistic: performers are guided through a structured process of summoning, embodiment, transformation, and mastery, exploring both the visceral physicality and the psychological depths of the creatures they find from within.

We guide each individual on a journey of personal and collective transformation to encounter the creatures that live in the shadows of the mind, body and soul. Through the actions and reactions of our unique creative exercises and specialist training methodology called 'FLESH & BONE INTERROGATIONS'.
The body becomes a vessel to communicate with the lost, forgotten and unknown creatures who beg you to set them free.

EXORCISM is the first and only creature creative training programme in the UK that specialises in all the various multi-dimentional and multi disciplinary art forms a which associate to the concept, design, creation, development, performance, production of creatures across all departments in the creative industries. with provides participants with the opportunity to experience a fully transformational immersive experience SFX prosthetics, makeup, and the expertise of professional SFX artists allowing performers to undergo a fully immersive transformation experience—where body, face, and identity merge seamlessly into the creature form.
EXORCISM also functions as a creative incubator and production platform, bridging the gap between training and professional work. We provide performers with real-world opportunities, collaborative projects, and access to the networks, research, and resources needed to thrive in the fast-evolving landscape of creature-based storytelling.
